Getting to the Room

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • After entering the hotel go to the lifts ahead of you and take one of the lifts to the third floor. Turn left and left again after exiting the lift and adapted room 328 will be at the end of the corridor on the right.
  • The most accessible route to the room has a standard lift and step-free level access.
  • The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.

Room (Room 328)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 87cm wide.
  • The bed type is twin.
  • The top of the mattress is 56cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 23cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
  • Seating in the room includes: chairs with armrests and a sofa.
  • The following adaptations are available: bedside plug sockets, light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), window controls at a recommended height (between 80cm - 100cm) and a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm).
  • The following adaptations are not available: adapted wardrobes for seated users and a lowered spyhole.
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
  • The room does not have a ceiling track hoist, however the resort can assist with the hire of a hoist.
  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the room floor.
  • The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door and the ensuite door.
  • Balcony / Terrace View
    • There is a balcony. The door is over 75cm wide and has a short step
    • The balcony has: chairs without armrests and a coffee table.

Ensuite (With Wheel-in Shower)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 82cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 89cm .
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
  • The toilet seat is 45.8cm from the floor.
  • There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail at the shower and horizontal grab rails at the shower.
  • Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
  • Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin, the towel dispenser and the soap dispenser.
  • The taps are lever mixer.
  • The ensuite does have an emergency alarm.
  • The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: both dropdown rails and all grab rails.
  • The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor, the toilet seat and the internal door.
  • The ensuite has: a wheel-in shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is an adjustable, detachable shower head not at a recommended height (between 105cm - 185cm).
