Getting to the Room (2030)

  • The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
  • From reception turn right. Proceed through the double doors (which are 180cm wide and are permanently held open). The double doors lead directly to the lifts.
    Take a lift to level 2.
    On exiting the lift turn left. Proceed through another set of double doors (which are 180cm wide and permanently held open) along the room corridor to room 2030, which is on the right.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, doors permanently held open and a standard lift.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 78cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 106cm x 138cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is patterned.
  • The width of the room corridor is 136cm.

Room (2030)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 89cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 23cm high.
  • Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 75cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 156cm .
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a small lip at the entrance to the shower.
