Getting to the Room (202)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception lobby, take a lift to the second floor. On exiting the lift, turn right and proceed through the fire doors and into the room corridor. Room 202 is on the right hand side.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (202)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 9 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 54cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 25cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (202 - Transfer Both Sides)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 88cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the on both sides of the toilet with a minimum width of 125cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- The width of the entrance into the shower cubicle is 82cm. There is a portable shower seat.
