Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located in Porto Cristo, in the east of Majorca.
- The resort provides accommodation in several buildings, some of which have 5 storeys. The resort is accessible via step-free level pathways, with some ramps of varying degrees. There are 4 lifts. There is a minibus available for guests to access Blocks C and D.
- This resort has the following facilities: restaurants, rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, swimming pools and a splash park.
- The resort has 564 rooms available. 12 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
- There are 5 restaurants.
- There are 6 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people and step-free standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found in the main building on level -3, in Block B and next to the water park in Block C.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found in the reception lobby, in the main building on level -3, in Block B, next to the water park in Block C, in the pool area and near the restaurants.
- Baby change facilities can be found within the female standard toilets in the reception lobby, in Block C and next to the south restaurant and in the toilet with adaptations for disabled people on level -3.
- There is a medication fridge available on request.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Guests can store and charge their mobility scooters in their rooms.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are not allowed in the resort.
- This resort is aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the building.
- The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 158cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are sofas, bench seats and armchairs available in this reception area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, bars, restaurants, an indoor pool and a gym.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- The following areas have step-free level access: the standard toilets with baby changing facilities, the lifts and some of the guest rooms.
- There is also step-free level access via lift to the spa, indoor pool, the gym and some of the guest rooms.
- The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: the main entrance doors, via a slight ramp.
- There is hard flooring.
- Some flooring is shiny and patterned.
Lift
- The lift is located to the right hand side of the reception desk.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are -3 to 2.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: Braille markings, a door with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 140cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 246cm x 128cm.
- There are other lifts which vary in size at the same location.
- Internally the lift has; an audible announcer, tactile markings, Braille markings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.
Getting Around the Resort
- The paths around the resort are made from: concrete, laminate and tiles.
- A mini van is available to transport guests to Block C and D.
- The following areas have step-free level access: the standard toilets with baby changing facilities, the lifts and some of the guest rooms. .
- The following areas have step-free access via lift: the spa, the indoor pool, the gym and some of the guest rooms.
- The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: the main entrance doors.
- The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the main buffet restaurant, the entertainment area, the pool area, the facilities and the water park.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: the standard toilets in the pool area.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Level -3 - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 79cm.
- The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 230cm x 190cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 133cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and the wash basin (between 72cm - 74cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the baby changing facility (not at 75cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).

- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor and the dropdown rail.
