Entrance

  • The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building.
  • There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the building.
  • The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There are manual doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
  • The width of the door opening is 158cm.
  • The doors have a low colour contrast.
  • A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.

Reception

  • There is step-free level access to reception.
  • The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
  • The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The flooring is shiny.
  • There are sofas, bench seats and armchairs available in this reception area.
  • There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.

Getting Around the Building

  • The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.

  • The floors that can be accessed from this lift are -3 to 2.
  • This lift is a standard lift.
  • Externally the lift has: Braille markings, a door with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.
  • The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 140cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 246cm x 128cm.
  • There are other lifts which vary in size at the same location.
  • Internally the lift has; an audible announcer, tactile markings, Braille markings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.

Getting Around the Resort

  • The paths around the resort are made from: concrete, laminate and tiles.
  • A mini van is available to transport guests to Block C and D.
  • The following areas have step-free level access: the standard toilets with baby changing facilities, the lifts and some of the guest rooms. .
  • The following areas have step-free access via lift: the spa, the indoor pool, the gym and some of the guest rooms.
  • The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: the main entrance doors.
  • The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the main buffet restaurant, the entertainment area, the pool area, the facilities and the water park.
  • The following areas do not have step-free access: the standard toilets in the pool area.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Level -3 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 79cm.
  • The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 230cm x 190cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
  • The lateral transfer space is 133cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
  • The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and the wash basin (between 72cm - 74cm).
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the baby changing facility (not at 75cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).

  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor and the dropdown rail.
