Getting to the Room (1261)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Take a left at the reception desk and proceed through the manual double doors. Continue along the room corridor and the door to room 1261 is on the left hand side.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
  • The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (1261)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 84cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 52cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 22cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The following adaptations are available: adapted wardrobes for seated users, light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.

  • Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
  • The taps are lever mixer.
  • The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
