Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Level -3 - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 79cm.
- The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 230cm x 190cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 133cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and the wash basin (between 72cm - 74cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the baby changing facility (not at 75cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is sensor.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor and the dropdown rail.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat and the internal toilet door.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
