Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1705)
- The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
- Exit the reception area via the rear automatic doors and turn right. The pathway is slightly sloped and is 176cm wide.
After approximately 50 metres take a left into the area where the accessible rooms are, on the right.
Proceed along the pathways (95cm wide) directly to the rooms. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, a steep ramp/slope and automatic doors.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
- The entrance into all the accessible rooms is via the room terrace. There is a 3cm lip from the pathway onto the terrace, then a small steep ramp to cross the door threshold.
Room (1705)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
- The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens by sliding and has a medium colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 85cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 28cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The space to the left of the bed is 100cm. The space to the right of the bed is 115cm.
Ensuite (Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 85cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 90cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a 3cm lip onto the shower tray.
