Access Guide
Getting to
- The Salon Bar is located on the lower ground floor of the hotel building.
- The most accessible route has a lift, a slight ramp/slope, a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and an automatic door.

Entrance (Accessible)
- The entrance to the bar is located to the right of the main hotel building entrance.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the bar.
- The ramp is slight, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which open towards you.
- The width of the door opening is 195cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Entrance (from Hotel Lobby)
- The entrance to the bar is located on the ground floor of the hotel building, to the left of the reception desk.
- There is no step-free access at the entrance to the bar.
- The ramp is steep, over 150cm wide, with handrails on both sides.
- There are 10+ steps, which are unmarked, with handrails on both sides.
- The ramp does not overcome the steps.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 81cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
Bar
- The bar serves drinks.
- Food served includes: drinks only.
- Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
- The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and a portable card machine for payment.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Lighting levels are good in this bar.
Seating

- There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Salon Bar - Left Hand Transfer)

- There is tactile and pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 95cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 221cm x 220cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 99cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a vertical rail on the left side of the wash basin.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
