Getting to the Room (133 and 137)

  • The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
  • Exit the resort entrance, go past the shop into the car park and then turn left. Take the steep ramp when it appears on your left. Turn right and follow the path and go up another steep ramp. Turn left halfway along the tennis court. Turn left again and the rooms will be on the left and right of you.
  • The most accessible route to the room has steep ramps/slopes and automatic doors.
  • The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is patterned.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
  • The buggies cannot be transferred into from a wheelchair.

Room (137)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 7 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • The layout and facilities in the other rooms with adaptations for disabled people vary from the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 91cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together and moveable.
  • The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 6cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
  • Seating in the room includes: a chair with armrests and a chair without armrests.
