Access Guide
Getting to (Pavilion Pool)
- The Pavilion Pool is located in the grounds of the resort, at the rear left side of the main building.
- The most accessible route has slight ramps/slopes.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is on the ground floor of the main building, opposite the main restaurant, please click here for more information (new tab).
Swimming Pool
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.
- Access into the water is via steps.
- There are 5 steps with a central handrail.
- There is step-free level access around some of the pool.
- There is a raised area which has ramped or stepped access.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty but not at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers and chairs with armrests.
- Additional facilities include: poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.

- There is step-free level access to the poolside bar.
- There is step-free access to the poolside showers, via a very steep ramp.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Pavilion Pool - Male - No Transfer)
- There is step-free access into the toilet, via a slope.
- The slope is very steep over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is no signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 83cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 170cm x 171cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is not a lateral transfer space next to the toilet.
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the non-transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the dropdown rail, the floor and the toilet seat.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has no mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
Toilet
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free access into the toilet, via a slope.
- The slope is very steep over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 75cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Only the female toilets had a shower within.
