Getting to the Room (102)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take a right at the reception desk and head past the rear exit doors.
Proceed through the fire doors and into the room corridor. The door to room 102 is on the right, just before the ramp. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and manual doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (102)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 6 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 92cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 11cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 83cm.
Ensuite (102 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 85cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail on the transfer side and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
