Access Guide
Getting to the Room (Apartment Premium 1611)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception lobby, take a lift to level 6 . On exiting the lift, proceed straight ahead towards the stairwell.
Take a right and follow the sign to Habitaciones (Rooms) 1611 - 1613, through the fire doors. Apartment Premium 1611 is located straight ahead of you, at the far end of the corridor. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (Apartment Premium 1611)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 8 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 93cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 35cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Seating in the room includes: chairs without armrests and a sofa.
- The following adaptations are available: adapted wardrobes for seated users, light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), bedside plug sockets and window controls at a recommended height (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm) and a lowered spyhole.
- The room has a fridge. This can be used to store medication.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- The room does have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist, however the resort can assist with the hire of a hoist.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door, the room floor and the ensuite door.

- Furniture in the room includes: a dining table at a suitable height for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm), a coffee table and a side table.
- There is a kitchenette with adaptations for disabled people available.
- The kitchenette has a knee recess under a worktop and low level cupboards.
- The emergency alarm takes the form of a telephone on the bedside table. It has large buttons and an extra-loud speaker. The bedside table is 71cm high.
There is no standard or lowered spyhole in the room.
Ensuite (Apartment Premium 1611 - Ensuite 1 - Main Ensuite - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 91cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 216cm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- The toilet seat is 48cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal door, some grab rails, the dropdown rail and the floor.

- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 116cm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- The toilet seat is 49cm from the floor.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal door and the floor.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: all grab rails and the toilet seat.
- The ensuite has: a wheel-in shower.
