Access Guide
Getting to the Room (Standard Studio 2333)
- The average walking time to the room is 8 minutes.
- From reception, cross the lobby and turn left at the signpost which says "Accesso Casa 2+3". Proceed straight ahead along the walkway..
At the end of the walkway, take the lift (Lift 4) to level 4. On exiting the lift, take a left and continue straight ahead along the corridor through Building 2 to the lift and stairwell.
Take this lift (Lift 5) to level 3, exit the lift and turn left along the outdoor walkway. Standard Studio 2333 is the third room on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and a door permanently held open.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (Standard Studio 2333)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 85cm wide.
- The bed type is zip and link.
- The top of the mattress is 49cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Seating in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), bedside plug sockets and window controls at a recommended height (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following adaptations are not available: adapted wardrobes for seated users and a lowered spyhole.
- The room has a fridge. This can be used to store medication.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist, however the resort can assist with the hire of a hoist.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door, the room floor and the ensuite door.
- Lighting levels can be adjusted.

Balcony / Terrace

- There is a balcony. The door is over 75cm wide and has a small threshold.
- The balcony has: a patio table and chairs with armrests.

Living Area

- There is a kitchenette with adaptations for disabled people available.
- The kitchenette has a knee recess under a worktop and easy grip handles on the appliances.
- There is an easy grip handle on the fridge.
The emergency alarm takes the form of a telephone on the bedside table. It has large buttons and an extra-loud speaker. The bedside table is 70cm high.
Ensuite (Standard Studio 2333 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 94cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 141cm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- The toilet seat is 45cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and horizontal grab rails at the shower.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal door, some grab rails, the dropdown rail and the floor.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: some grab rails and the toilet seat.
- The ensuite has: a wheel-in shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is an adjustable, detachable shower head not at a recommended height (between 105cm - 185cm).
- There is no shower seat, but one can be requested from reception.
- There are no dropdown rails for the shower.
- There is one push button alarm at a height of 16cm. There is one coat hook at a height of 143cm.
