Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1008)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the entrance take the corridor on the left, leading to the lift and the TUI desk.
Go through a set of open double doors and head along the corridor.
The room surveyed is on the left-hand side of the corridor. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (1008)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 9 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 85cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 61cm from the floor.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm) .
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Seating in the room includes: an armchair and chairs without armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.
- The room has a fridge. This cannot be used to store medication.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- The room does have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door, the ensuite door and the room floor.
- Lighting levels can be adjusted.
