Access Guide
Getting to the Room (341)
- The average walking time to the room is 6 minutes.
- Exit the reception building to the left anf follow the path that veers to the left.
Continue along this path (known as the Highway) to the end and cross the quiet street at the pedestrian crossing.
Turn left onto the pavement and the turn right toward the entrance of the Vista Marina building.
Enter the building and follow the corridor, turning left into the lounge area. Continue straight through the lounge, through the double doors on the far side.
Turn right down the corridor and the door to room 341 is on the right hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has steep ramps/slopes and manual doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The buggies cannot be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (341)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 93cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 51cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (341)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 170cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: horizontal grab rails at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
