Getting to the Room (224)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Cross the reception lobby then and continue through the fire doors, which are opposite the reception desk (150cm wide).
Proceed straight ahead into the room corridor. The rooms with adaptations for disabled people are located immediately on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (224)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 78cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 26cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 107cm.
Ensuite (224 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 79cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 120cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a dropdown seat in the shower. There is a dropdown rail in between the wash basin and shower seat, which is accessible from both.
