Access Guide
Resort Information
- This adults-only beach-front resort is located on the southern coast of the island of Sal in Cape Verde.
- The 303-room two-storey resort is spread over several buildings and is mostly accessible via level pathways and ramps of varying degrees. There is one lift.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, beach access, swimming pools and restaurants.
- The resort has 303 rooms available. 3 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- There are 3 restaurants.
- There are 2 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people and step-free standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found close to reception in the Avenue Bar, close to the snack bar and one by the beach.

Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building.

- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 220cm.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- There is a reception desk at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The height of the reception desk is 110cm. The width of the rear exit doors is 160cm.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, bars, restaurants and a gym.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs, lift and ramp.
- There is step-free level access to the main entrance doors, the lift, the rear exit door, the toilets with adaptations for disabled people, the standard toilets, the restaurant and the entertainment bar.
There is step-free access via lift to the standard guest rooms and some of the rooms with adaptations for disabled people. - The floors that can be accessed from the lift are 0 to 1.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Within the Standard Female Toilet)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 92cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 160cm x 220cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 98cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the toilet include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a sanitary bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There are wash basins, mirrors, soap dispensers and a hand dryer outside of the cubicle within the standard toilets.
Toilet (Reception)
