Access Guide
Getting to (Artemis Restaurant)
- The Artemis Restaurant is located in a separate building to the right as you face the main building entrance.
- The most accessible route has a slight ramp/slope, a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and automatic doors.
Entrance
- The entrance to the restaurant is located externally of the main building entrance on the left.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the restaurant.
- The slope is slight, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are 9 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
- There is an automatic door at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 168cm.
- The door has a low colour contrast.
Stairs
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are -1, 0.
- There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
- The stairs are not clearly marked and have a handrail on the right going down.
Lift
- The lift is located on the left after entering.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are -1, 0.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and tactile markings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 91cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 117cm x 174cm.
- There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.
- Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.
Restaurant
