Access Guide
Getting to (Athina Bar)
- The Athina Bar is on the right along the ramped and stepped corridor from reception.
- The most accessible route has a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps).
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is as you exit the lift just before you enter the restaurant, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance
- The entrance to the bar is located on the right of the ramped/stepped corridor after leaving reception.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the bar.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which open towards you.
- The width of the door opening is 150cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Bar
- The bar serves drinks.
- The following are available: drinking straws.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is low pile carpet.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- Lighting levels are low in this bar.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: armchairs, bench seats, stools, high stools and chairs with armrests.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is low pile carpet.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- Lighting levels are low in this seating area.
- There is a raised area which has stepped access.
