Access Guide
Getting to (Small Outdoor Pool)
- The pool is next to the tennis courts near the beach and is overlooked by rooms 966-969.
- The most accessible route has slight ramps/slopes, a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps), steep ramps/slopes and automatic doors.

Swimming Pool
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- Access into the pool area is via steps.
- There are 6 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- Access into the water is via a ladder or steps.
- There are 2 steps with no handrails.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool is not staffed and does not have a lifeguard.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is not step-free access to the poolside showers.
Counter (Drinks Self Service)
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The counter is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The counter does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
Toilet
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There is 1 step to access the toilet. This is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 77cm.
- The wash basin tap type is sensor.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
