Getting to (Gym)
- The Spa gym is located within the Spa and Wellness Centre which is in the basement of the main building.
- The most accessible route has a lift, a slight ramp/slope and automatic doors.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is in the Artemis Restaurant, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance
- The entrance to the spa is located in the basement of the main building.
- The entrance to the spa is accessed by lift.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the spa.
- The ramp is slight, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is an automatic door at the entrance, which opens by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 108cm.
- The door has a low colour contrast.
Gym
- There is step-free level access into the gym.
- The ramp is steep over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The width of the door opening is 103cm.
- The gym is not staffed.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- There is clear manoeuvring space between equipment (150cm x 150cm).
- Equipment includes free weights and cable resistance machines.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- The gym does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is a horizontal bar that must be pushed down to open the door. The height of this is 100cm.
