Getting to (Sports bar)

  • The Sports Bar is on level 1 of the Tennis and Sports Centre.
  • The most accessible route has a lift, slight ramps/slopes, a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and automatic doors.

Lift

  • The lift is located ahead as you enter the Sports Centre.
  • The floors that can be accessed from this lift are -2, -1, 0, 1, 2.
  • This lift is a standard lift.
  • Externally the lift has: a door with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and tactile markings.
  • The lift door opening width is 106cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 121cm x 189cm.
  • Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.

Stairs

  • The floors which are accessible by stairs are -2, -1, 0, 1, 2.
  • There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
  • The stairs are not clearly marked and have no handrails.

Bar

  • The bar serves drinks.
  • Menus are handheld.
  • The following are available: drinking straws.
  • There is no hearing assistance system.
  • There may be background noise.
  • None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).

  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space is 130cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
  • The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder, the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
