Access Guide
Getting to (TUI Welcome Building)
- The TUI Welcome building is located opposite the main entrance to the hotel building.
- The most accessible route has a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and automatic doors.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is in the Artemis Restaurant, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance
- The entrance to the building is located at the front of the building.
- There is no step-free access at the entrance to the building.
- There is 1 step, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 190cm.
- The doors has a high colour contrast.
- There is another set of doors to the right of the one surveyed.
Counter
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- Lighting levels are low at this counter.
- There is a counter suitable for a wheelchair user.
- The counter does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- There are bench seats available in the counter area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
Seating
- Access into the seating area is via steps.
- There are 2 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The seating includes: bench seats and chairs with armrests.
- The tables are not suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- The flooring outside is hard.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
