Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1213)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception exit, turn right, follow the path then veer left to the bungalow block.
Turn right and head up the ramp and turn right to Block 3. Walk through the tunnel and turn right to the room. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a steep ramp/slope.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (1213)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 76cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 22cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (1213 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 102cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
