Access Guide
Getting to the Room (617)
- The average walking time to the room is 10 minutes.
- Exit the reception building to the rear and proceed to your left, through the patio bar area.
Take the ramp in the far left hand corner to descend from the patio and turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
Continue along the path, turning left at the first junction.
At the following junction, turn right and continue along the path in front of the accommodation building.
Apartment 617 is marked on the building to your left, turn left off the path and immediately left onto the front patio of the apartment. - The most accessible route to the room has slight ramps/slopes, a steep ramp/slope and a door permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
Room (617)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 56cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 25cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (617)
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as the wash basin obstructs it.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
