Getting to the Room (K102)

The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
Take a left at the reception desk and proceed along the room corridor on the left hand side.
Continue to the end of the corridor.
Take a right turn, and head up the ramp on the left hand side and then straight ahead into Block K.
Room K102 is straight ahead.
The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a steep ramp/slope.
The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

There is step-free level access into the room.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
The room door opening is 74cm wide.
The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
The top of the mattress is 63cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 25cm high.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm) .
There is hard flooring.
The flooring is patterned.
Seating in the room includes: a chair with armrests.
The following adaptations are available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.
The room does not have a fridge.
The room does have an emergency alarm.
The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door and the ensuite door.

Balcony / Terrace View
- There is a balcony. The door is over 75cm wide and has a short step .

The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 75cm.

There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 90cm.

There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower.

The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
