Access Guide
Getting to
- The Cafeteria Bar is located on the ground floor opposite the Bar Salon.
- The most accessible route has a slight ramp/slope and steps.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is on the first floor - Left Hand Transfer, please click here for more information (new tab).
Bar (Cafeteria Bar)
- Access into the bar area is via steps.
- There are 4 steps, which are clearly marked, with a handrail on the left going up.
- The bar serves drinks.
- The following are available: drinking straws and takeaway cups.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- Lighting levels in this bar are low in the evening.
Seating
- Access into the seating area is via steps.
- There are 4 steps, which are clearly marked, with a handrail on the left going up.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: chairs with armrests, bench seats and high stools.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- Lighting levels in this seating area are low in the evening.
