Access Guide
Getting to (Main Outdoor Pools)
- The outdoor pools are located between the main building and the beach.
- The most accessible route has a lift, a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and a manual door.

Swimming Pool (Large Freshwater Pool)
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- Access into the pool area is via steps and a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps).
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going up.
- There are 3 steps, which are unmarked, with a handrail on the left going up.
- Access into the water is via steps.
- There are 10+ steps with a central handrail.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool is staffed at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers.
- Additional facilities include: poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is not step-free access to the poolside bar.
- There is step-free access to the poolside showers, via a steep ramp.
Swimming Pool (Medium Saltwater Pool)
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.
- Access into the water is via steps.
- There are 5 steps with a central handrail.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool is staffed at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers.
- Additional facilities include: poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is not step-free access to the poolside bar.
- There is step-free level access to the poolside showers.
- There is a sun lounger at the side of the pool which is reserved for people with disabilities.
Toilet (Next to Miyako Japanese Restaurant)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free access into the toilet, via a ramp.
- The ramp is steep between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
- There are male and female showers available, with a step to enter.
