Access Guide
Getting to the Room (033)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception desk, take a left and proceed up the ramp. The ramp is 154cm wide and has a handrail on the left going up.
At the top of the ramp, turn left and proceed through the double doors (which are permanently held open) into the room corridor. Continue along the room corridor until you reach room number 033 on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a slight ramp/slope.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
Room (033)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 12cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 80cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
