Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception Area - Transfer Both Sides)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 90cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 197cm x 280cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There are lateral transfer spaces on both sides of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space on the left is 60cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- The lateral transfer space on the right is 60cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the seat.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: a toilet roll holder on the dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the soap dispenser, the wash basin and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet seat (48cm) and the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and hand dryer (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is push.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door and both dropdown rails.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat and the floor.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
