Getting to the Room (1058)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • From the reception desk, turn right and follow the walkway.
    At the end of the walkway, turn right then left into the room corridor. Proceed along the corridor to room number 1058. .
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (1058)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 8 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 82cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 28cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The door to the balcony measures 88cm wide. There is a small lip at the door threshold a portable ramp is available.

Ensuite (1058 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 80cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 85cm .
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is no lock on the bathroom door.
    There is a flip-down seat and a dropdown rail in the shower.
