Getting to the Room (416)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception lobby, take the ramp on the left to the fire doors and then follow the room corridor to room 416.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The flooring on the route is shiny.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (416)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 9 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 65cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (416 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 85cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
