Getting to the Room (3007)

  • The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
  • Exit the reception lobby via the rear exit doors and continue past the entertainment area.
    At the crossroads, veer left towards accommodation block number 30. Proceed down the slight slope and the door to room number 3007 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope and automatic doors.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
  • The buggies cannot be transferred into from a wheelchair.
  • The buggies are available to assist with guests' luggage only.

Room (3007)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
  • The ramp is slight, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • The room door is manual, opens by sliding and has a low colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 93cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 27cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (3007 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 93cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 150cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
