Access Guide
Getting to the Room (Room 0009)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- From reception, walk to the end of the lobby then turn right and continue. Veer left into the next corridor then take another left when you have passed the buffet restaurant.
Proceed into the room corridor and turn right at the end. Room 0009 is on the right hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
- The small corridor to room 0009 is 105cm wide.
Room (0009)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 100cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 15cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (Room 0009)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 100cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 167cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
