Getting to the Room (1083)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- From the reception desk, head through the main entrance doors and take a right.
Follow the pathway alongside the accommodation blocks until you arrive at a steep ramp ahead and take a right. Continue down the ramp into the open doorway of the building and room 1083 is the first door on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, a steep ramp/slope, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (1083)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 80cm.
Ensuite (Room 1083 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 145cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
