Getting to the Room (1022)

  • The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
  • Take the walkway opposite the reception desk, which bypasses the lobby bar. Continue along the walkway and across the connecting bridge with glass railings, which leads into the accommodation building.
    Take a right and proceed past the seating area. Turn left at the stairway, into the room corridor. The door to room number 1022 is on the right.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and an open entrance with no doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (1022)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 6 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 79cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 13cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 77cm.

Ensuite (1022 - Left Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 80cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 90cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a portable shower seat in the shower.
