Access Guide
Resort Information
- This beach-front resort is located in Corralejo, north-east Fuerteventura.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a toilet with adaptations for disabled people, shops, beach access, a nightclub, a sports court, a gym, a swimming pool and a play area/playground. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
- The resort has 808 rooms available. 5 (single rooms only) of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
- The resort provides accommodation in 25 buildings, some of which have 7 storeys. The resort is accessible via step-free level pathways, with some ramps of varying degrees. There are 3 lifts in the main building.
- There are 3 restaurants.
- There are 3 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- There are shops.
- Some shops have step-free access.
- Some of the shops have door widths over 75cm.
- None of the shops have room to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people and step-free standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found in the reception lobby and near the apartments pool.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found in the reception lobby and near the apartments pool.
- Baby change facilities can be found within the toilets with adaptations for disabled people.
- There is no medication fridge.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Guests can store and charge their mobility scooters in their rooms or in reception.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
- Guests can bring food for assistance dogs which can be stored in their rooms.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available in the main building and at the reception.

Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the building.
- The ramp is very steep, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is a manual door at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 88cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
- A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is patterned.
- There are sofas available in this reception area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the reception area.
- There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a gym, a main reception, shops, an indoor play area, bars, restaurants and a sports court.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via lift and stairs.
- The following areas have step-free level access: the toilets, the lifts, the mini market and the door to access the terrace. There is step-free level access via lift to the guest rooms, the main buffet restaurant and the gym.
- The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: the pool bar.
- The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the main entrance, the beach and the pool area.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: the evening entertainment (the platform lift is currently out of use).
- There is low pile carpet and hard flooring.
- Some flooring is shiny and patterned.
- The majority of walkway widths are under 120cm, with medium colour contrast between the walls and floor.
Lift
- The lift is located to the right hand side of the reception desk.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are 0 to 7.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings and controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 76cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 130cm x 134cm.
- There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.
- Internally the lift has; controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, tactile markings and buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception Lobby - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 76cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 157cm x 310cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 103cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder and the wash basin.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: towel dispenser and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the baby changing facility (not at 75cm), the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm), towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).

- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
