Access Guide
Getting to the Room (0151)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception area via the side door to the right of the reception desk. Take a left and head down the corridor.
At the end of the corridor, turn right into the lift lobby. From the lift lobby, take a left into the room corridor and the room 0151 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and automatic doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (0151)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 99cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 25cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 94cm.
Ensuite (0151 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 98cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 85cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- The width of the entrance to the shower is 119cm.
