Access Guide
Getting to (Palmeira Buffet Restaurant)
- The Palmeira Buffet Restaurant is within the resorts main building to the right of the main reception, along the external walkway opposite Krystal Restaurant.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is within the resorts main building, to the right as you face the main reception, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance (Main Resort Walkway)
- The entrance to the restaurant is located at the rear of the resorts main building, off the main resort walkway.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the restaurant.
- There is an opening without doors at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 248cm.
Entrance (Resort Main Building)
- The entrance to the restaurant is located within the resorts main building, opposite Krystal Restaurant.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the restaurant.
- There is an opening without doors at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 298cm.
Restaurant
- The restaurant has buffet counters.
- Menus are displayed on the counter and menu boards.
- Food served includes: buffet food.
- All dietary requirements can be catered for if ingredients can be sourced.
- Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is patterned.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are 3 sets of double 183cm wide automatic doors accessing the buffet counters from the seating. The doors are permanently held open during service.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: chairs with armrests and chairs without armrests.
- The seating area has: a priority table.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is patterned.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- Lighting levels in this seating area are low in the evening.
