Access Guide
Getting to (Praia Buffet Restaurant)
- Praia Buffet Restaurant is located towards the rear of the resort, on the ground floor of Block 5.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access.
Entrance (Main Resort Walkway)
- The entrance to the restaurant is located off the main resort walkway, on the ground level of Block 5.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the restaurant.
- There is an opening without doors at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 183cm.
- There is a similar entrance located on the other side of the restaurant, directly opposite the one detailed above.
Entrance (Access from Outdoor Pool 4 and 5)
- The entrance to the restaurant is located off the walkway between outdoor pools 4 and 5.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the restaurant.
- There is an opening without doors at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 255cm.
Restaurant
- The restaurant has staff who can provide assistance and buffet counters.
- Menus are displayed on the counter.
- Food served includes: buffet food.
- All dietary requirements can be catered for if ingredients can be sourced.
- Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- Lighting levels are good in this area.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is a set of double 170cm wide automatic doors accessing the buffet counters from the seating. The doors are permanently held open during service.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: dining chairs with armrests.
- The seating area has: a priority table.
- The tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Praia Buffet Restaurant - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 106cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 208cm x 212cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 104cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the seat.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: a toilet roll holder on the dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), hand dryer (not between 80cm - 100cm) and the baby changing facility (not at 75cm).
