Getting to the Room (2230)

  • The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
  • From the reception lobby, take a lift to the 2nd floor. On exiting the lift, continue straight ahead then turn left into the room corridor.
    Take another left at the end of that corridor, proceed through the open double doors and room 2230 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (2230)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 95cm wide.
  • The bed type is twin.
  • The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 12cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring and low pile carpet.

Ensuite (Room 2230 - Left Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 95cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 114cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • The dropdown rail can be used from the shower.
    There is also a drop down seat in the wheel-in shower.
