Getting to (Food Court)

  • The Food Court is located to the rear of the left wing of the hotel on Level -1, at the far end of French Street.
  • The most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift, automatic doors and doors permanently held open.

Restaurant (Food Court)

  • The restaurant has buffet counters, self service counters, table service (on request only) and staff who can provide assistance.
  • Menus are displayed on the counter.
  • Food served includes: buffet food and varies daily.
  • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
  • Guests with food allergies cannot bring their own food.
  • The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and takeaway cutlery.
  • There is no hearing assistance system.
  • There is background noise.
  • None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
  • The flooring is shiny and patterned.
  • The flooring outside is hard.
  • Lighting levels in this area are low in the evening.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.

Seating (Food Court)

  • The seating includes: dining chairs with armrests and high stools.
  • The seating area has: a priority table.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (next to Food Court - Left Hand Transfer)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 235cm x 340cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.

  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm), towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm) and the baby changing facility (not at 75cm).
