Access Guide
Getting to the Room (2614)
- The average walking time to the room is 6 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the automatic exit door to the right hand side of the reception and continue straight on past the fountain and along the tree-lined pathway.
Take a left and continue on the pathway. Take a right and carry on to the end of pathway and take another right.
Turn left then left again. Take the first right and proceed to the end of the pathway and take a right, then left on the sloping pathway towards Block 26. Take another left, then right into Block 26. Room 2614 is straight ahead. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (2614)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (2614)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 84cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
