Access Guide
Getting to
- The Turquoise restaurant is located on Level 2 of the Turquoise and Veranda restaurant building, which in turn is located in the centre of the resort grounds, next to the Lotus bar.
- The most accessible route has a lift, slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, an automatic door and doors permanently held open.

Lift (Turquoise and Veranda Restaurants - Centre)
- The lift is located in the centre of the Turquoise and Veranda Restaurants, to the right as you approach from the Lotus Bar on Level 0.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are 0, 1, 2.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a good colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a poor colour contrast to the surroundings and controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 109cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 143cm x 200cm.
- Internally the lift has; controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, tactile markings, buttons with a poor colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.
Stairs (Turquoise and Veranda Restaurants - Centre)
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are 0, 1, 2.
- There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
- The stairs are not clearly marked and have a handrail on the right going up.
Lift (Turquoise and Veranda Restaurants - Rear)
- The lift is located to the rear of the Turquoise and Veranda Restaurant building when approaching from the Lotus Bar area on Level 0.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are 0, 1, 2.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a good colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a poor colour contrast to the surroundings and controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 91cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 126cm x 131cm.
- There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.

Entrance
- The entrance to the restaurant is located on Level 2 of the Turquoise and Veranda restaurant building.

Restaurant
- Menus are menu boards.

- Guests with food allergies cannot bring their own food.
- The following are available: drinking straws.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise.
- Some of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Lighting levels are low in this area.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: chairs without armrests.
- The tables are not suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).

Entrance (External Seating Area)
- The entrance to the area is located at the rear of the restaurant.

- There is an automatic door at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 108cm.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Turquoise and Veranda Restaurants - No Transfer Space)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet, via lift.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 83cm.
- The toilet door has a push button lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 140cm x 168cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is not a lateral transfer space next to the toilet.
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm).
