Access Guide
Getting to the Room (008)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the automatic doors to the right hand side of the reception desk. Head towards the 'chess board' (central area) then take a left.
Proceed through the automatic doors and continue straight ahead into the accommodation building. Take a right and bypass the lift.
Turn left into the room corridor and room 008 is on the right hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (008)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
- The layout and facilities in the other rooms with adaptations for disabled people vary from the one surveyed. .
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 76cm wide.
- The bed type is single and made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 62cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 20cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (008 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 92cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 110cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
