Access Guide
Getting to the Room
- The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
- From reception walk through the mini-market then continue ahead on the walkway past the car park. Turn right into buildings D and E, then turn left and veer right then turn right again and room 2150 is on the left.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (2150)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 79cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 71cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 15cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is deep pile carpet.
- There is an additional double bed in the room.
Ensuite (Room 2150)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 91cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a lowered bath and a shower head over the bath.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 226cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail at the bath, a horizontal grab rail at the bath, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
