Access Guide
Getting to the Room (29-101)
- The average walking time to the room is 15 minutes.
- Exit the reception building via the rear door.
Turn right onto the path.
Follow the path, keeping to the right of the swimming pool and turn right onto the path before the restaurant building.
Continue along this path following the right hand side and turn left before the splash pool bar.
Follow this path and turn right onto the corridor of building 29.
The door to the room will be on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has slight ramps/slopes.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
Room (29-101)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 5cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (29-101)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 82cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 82cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a dropdown rail in the shower cubicle.
