Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located to the north of Paphos near Chlorakas Village.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, a shop, a spa, beach access, a gym and a swimming pool. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
- The resort has 260 rooms available. 3 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
- There is step free access on the paths around the resorts, there are slight and steep slopes in places along the pathways.
- There are 6 restaurants.
- There are 3 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- There is a shop.
- The shop has step-free access.
- The shop has door widths over 75cm.
- None of the shops have room to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people, step-free standard toilets and standard changing rooms.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found on Level 0 next to Avakas Cocktail Bar and on Level 1 next to Boulevard.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found on Level 0 next to Avakas Cocktail Bar, on Level 0 next to the Semoli Wine Bar , on Level -1 next to Boulevard, Level -2 next to Drops Restaurant and next to the outdoor pools.
- There is a medication fridge at the reception.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.
Getting Around the Resort
- There is step free access on the paths around the resorts, there are slight and steep slopes in places along the pathways.
- The paths around the resort are made from: stone and block paving.
- There is a mixture of seating with and without armrests along the pathways.
- All the paths are illuminated.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is 1 step, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the step.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 175cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- There is a second set of automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 180cm.

Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception has televisions which may affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- Lighting levels are good at this reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are coffee tables, armchairs and sofas available in this reception area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).

Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, a shop, bars, restaurants, an indoor pool, a gym and a changing area.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- The following areas have step-free level access: All rooms Rooms 4304 - 4320 and 1002 - 1110 and all facilities within the building.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Level 0 - next to Avakas Cocktail Bar - Male)

- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
- The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 140cm x 225cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 88cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush in the centre of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder and the wash basin.

Lift (Main Lift - near Reception)
- The lift is located to the right of the reception lobby area.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are -2, -1, -0, 1, 2, 3, 4.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and tactile markings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 84cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 110cm x 140cm.
- There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.

- The lift door opening width is 77cm.
