Getting to the Room
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the entrance foyer, take a left and continue towards the single door and out onto the pathway.
At the pathway, turn right and follow the path until you pass the restaurant and children's splash park on the right.
Take a left down the narrow path towards the apartment blocks, passing the swing on the left. Apartment D6 is located directly opposite the swing, up a slight grassy slope. - The most accessible route to the room has a step and a slight ramp/slope.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (Apartment D6)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- There is not step-free access into the room.
- There is 1 step, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 65cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- Seating in the room includes: a chair without armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), bedside plug sockets and plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm).
- The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm).
- The room has a fridge. This can be used to store medication.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the ensuite door and the internal room door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the room floor.

- The kitchenette has low level cupboards and easy grip handles on the cupboards.
Ensuite (Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 76cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 60cm .
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- The toilet seat is 46cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder, the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever.
- The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the dropdown rail, the internal door and all grab rails.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat and the floor.
- The ensuite has: a wheel-in shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is an adjustable, detachable shower head not at a recommended height (between 105cm - 185cm).
