Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located in Paphos, in the west of Cyprus.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, a spa, a gym, a swimming pool and a sauna. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
- The resort has 127 rooms available. Only one room has adaptations for disabled people.
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- The resort is on hilly ground with steps and slight to steep ramps to get around. Most areas of the resort are step-free with ramps overcoming the steps.
The spa is accessible by steps only. - There are 2 restaurants.
- There are 4 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, step-free standard toilets, standard toilets and standard changing rooms.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found within the lobby.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found lobby, spa and changing rooms by the Centro outdoor pool.
- The resort has the following available: a panic alarm, bath mats and raised toilet seats.
- There is no medication fridge.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Mobility scooters can either be stored and charged in guests rooms or in the luggage store room.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- Guests can bring food for assistance dogs which can be stored in the room or staff can store it for you.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort library.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.
- There isn't a TUI counter at this resort but there is an information board to the left within the lobby after entering the resort. This resort is for adults only.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building close to the road.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail on the left going up.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 132cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- There is a second set of automatic doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 143cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception has patterned backgrounds which may affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- Lighting levels are good at this reception.
- There is a reception desk suitable for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are coffee tables, armchairs, sofas and chairs without armrests available in this reception area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the reception area.
- There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, a bar and a restaurant.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs.
- The following areas have step-free level access: Piatakia Buffet Restaurant, Lobby Bar, reception, The Lounge and the Toilet with Adaptions for Disabled People.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: toilets.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm, with high colour contrast between the walls and floor.
Getting Around the Resort
- The resort is on hilly ground with steps and slight to steep ramps to get around. Most areas of the resort are step-free with ramps overcoming the steps. The spa is only accessible by steps.
- The paths around the resort are made from: stone and block paving.
- There is no seating along the pathways.
- The majority of the paths are illuminated.
- There are porters who can assist if needed.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Lobby - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 94cm.
- The toilet door has a key lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 176cm x 383cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 113cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: all grab rails, the floor and the toilet seat.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is a shelf located where it is reachable for seated and standing users.

- The cubicle has a waste bin without lid and a pedal bin.
- There are two coat hooks.
- The coat hooks for seated users and standing users are not at the recommended height.
Toilet
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There are 10+ steps to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with handrails on both sides.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
